Once upon a time in Kota....

It was sometime in Sept 2003, Three of my home town(Behror) friends who were also preparing for IIT-JEE in Kota used to stay in Dadabadi and I had a room in Jawahar nagar.

All those who stayed in kota must be familiar with Kota's culture, and needless to say the landlord's irritating interference in our personal life. And luckily I got a room made only for rent, Hence escaped from Owner's tension. And unfortunately my friends did not.

And another culture is to go either early morning or late night Movies as Bright students are busy in date time to sleep in classes. Same was the condition with my friends. And i don't know ehy they preferred night show.

One night when I was studying silently in my room, Suddenly someone knocked my door.

I thought who might be there at 11:00 pm in night.

So I just asked "Who is there?".

And I got a reply in familiar voice "Abey darwaza khol, hum hain".(Open the door, we are here)

He was none other than Anup.

I opened the door and was surprised to see all 3 Behrorians Anup, Koshank and Nishant.

I was surprised to see all and wanted to ask What happened.

And by the time I completed my question. All were in my room and occupied my only bed where I was thinking to sleep before 10 minutes. It was never less than earthquake feeling whenever these people came to my room. But it was happening first time in night so it was much terrible.

Now they started searching for something which can satisfy their hunger as they din had dinner. And obviously I was helpless as this was surprise attack and i was not prepared enough to hide anything from them.

Somehow that night got over for me and i thought that God please don't repeat this again.

But god din't listen me, and exactly after 7 days, I heard same knock jiska mujhe darr tha.

So I thought of helping myself and i pretended that i am slept. But they had no option of going back to their respective rooms because their landlords would have locked. But Maine bhi soch liya tha ki (I had decided that) I will not open door.

They knocked, abused and even threatened to break the door. But I had decided not to open door.

After two days I realized that I shouldn't have done this with my friends and thought, "Bechare kahan gaye honge raat ko".

So I went to Anup's room and he welcomed me with his typical (What you need?) face. I had nothing to say as all was understood between us. Anup started his study and i took my place on bed. I slept in some minutes and got up after 3 hours to know that Anup was still studying. I left his room without saying anything. This repeated for 2 more days....

Finally Fourth day, he asked me Bhai tujhe kya chaiye (Hey, what you need).

I replied "Nothing".

And then he started with all his anger of that day.

I was not able to control my laugh when he told me that they searched for some C grade hotel. And condition of that hotel none less than some C grade movie (For more details contact Anup, Nishant or Koshank).

The best part was "After that day they never went for late night movie, And if they went then they never knocked at my door."

Moral of the story : Never go for Late night movie if you not sure of Post-movie condition.

Initial days in Bansal Classes

Now as i was selected in Bansal classes, I had no other option but to go.

Classes were supposed to start after one week of result declaration. So I

was excited to join this muchHYPED coaching with tagline "A Bansalite today, an IITian Tomorrow" Unfortunately that TOMORROW never came for me .

Classes started, It was So hot in Kota at that time, 40 degree temperature, God it was horrible, but had no other option. Sometimes even thought of bunking classes as have to ride bicycle for 2 Km in summer but temptation of sitting for 3 hours in AC always attracted me to class.

After a month or so, 10th board results were declared, and i came to know from some guy when i reached class. Still 30 minutes for class to start(Reached class early to enjoy AC fullest). I run to cyber cafe and asked my result. I got 79.8%. I was very happy since I never heard this much from any of my friend/relatives. So i reached in class excited, And settled on chair.

Now thought of giving my impression to guys sitting beside me and asked on left side "Did you see result, How much you got".

He replied "89 only yaar" with sad face.

I thought he might be Intelligent guy by mistake and asked another side and got reply "90 %".

And by the time class got over i realized that this is not the right place to impress people.

Decision of Becoming Engineer

It was March 2001, I was in 10th std which had a strength of just 12 students(9 boys + 3 girls). Because of strength our Final Board exams were conducted in Jaipur. So this was my first chance to stay for such a long time with my classmates. I was excited. We were permitted somehow to stay in PHYSICS lab. I still don't know who asked such a weird place to stay for 20 days.

After first exam, Girls left for homwtown with principal mam and we guys were left in school. Then started the hunt to get best place to study. Some found terrace suitable for them, Some liked Lawn, One guy even liked See saw. Best place found was cabin of Physics Faculty in one of the corner of Lab which was open from above.

Koshank was tallest, So he jumped inside and silently started studying, But do you think it is possible that if all friends are enjoying outside koshank will sit alone to study. So he started exploring Cabin which ended up with some interesting projects submitted by 12th students. And he shouted "Oye Anup, Dekh kya mast cheez hain"(Hey anup, See this amazing stuff). That's it, All people landed in 10 x10 sized cabin within 5 minutes. And all projects were tested properly. It took us not less than 2 hours to realize that we have messed up whole cabin. Finally we arranged everything and jumped out.

After two days, when we had next exam. One of physics faculty came to lab and felt that "All is not well". And we were kicked out from Physics lab. But luckily we got Biology lab, That was interesting with one skelton model in corner and horror show type posters on walls. And we realized that its better to stay silently else we might be soon in Chemistry lab or Back to home.

Days passed, Three Exams also passed. One day i saw Anup, Koshank, Nishant and Roshan were filling some form.

I asked "what is this yaar".

Anup said "Bansal classes ka form".

I thought for a while and asked "what's use of this".

Nishant broke the silence and said "Bansal classes, kota give coaching for IIT entrance ".

I was surprised that before two days they were planning for engineering and now suddenly all are applying for this.

So I asked "You people are not going for Enginnering" (For me RPET (Rajasthan's state level exam) meant Engg entrance).

They smiled at me and said "IIT is better than RPET with half an hour lecture".

Finally i was impressed and i thought "Yaar sabhi log Kota chalein jayenge toh main akela reh jaunga (If all will go to kota, what will i do alone)". without thinking anything I also applied.

Days passes, 10th exams finished. Bansal Entrance also attended. And June 14th was Result date of Bansal. It was unexpected "I applied in Bansal thinking what i will do alone if all will go there .....but... I got selected and unfortunatly my friends did not".

Ans 2.  STRAND   means "thin Thread"        

  BROCADE  means "A type of Textile"         

  Textile contains Thread        Hence, BROCADE contains STRAND.  

Ans 3.  AMAZON gave pen (to keep in pocket)        

  ADOBE, CITRIX etc etc gave T-Shirt to wear        

   BROCADE gave cap (AGAIN & AGAIN) because its on the TOP.

Suggestion to my friend

Last Sunday Aug 22, I met one of my friend after a long time.

She was complaining that she is getting bored with EXCEL work in office.

I instantly suggested Catch an Ant and keep next to you work.

Work will be Excel-ant....

No wonder if she was regretting why she shared this with me.
